The holidays are over, and it's time to take the decorations down. Now it feels as sad and bleary inside as it does out... but wait - it doesn't have to!
A simple, handmade banner (see picture above) that doubles as your resolution reminder is a quick and easy way to keep the cheer into the New Year, without the need for keeping out those reindeer (that are now overstaying their welcome).
TO MAKE your own decoration:
1. Choose a positive, energizing message that you like. "Dream Out Loud" is just one of many possibilities. Speak it from the heART!
2. Cut rectangles out of cardstock and stencil the letters with metallic sharpies.
3. Finish by hole-punching the top and weaving black + white baker's thread through each piece.
Hang in a place you see often and, ta-da! Simple as that. We replaced our half burned out Christmas lights with a festive January call to action.
We used materials we already had lying around and you can too! Any heavy paper or fabric will do. Get creative with shapes - triangles, circles... and share your creation when you do! (Tag us on facebook or instagram and show us what you've got @ReCreativeSpaces )
